Cappellini participated at the Orgatec Fair in Cologne within the Haworth space, in an area dedicated to contract design and showcasing an assortment of the main products, plus some new arrivals, intended for commercial spaces. Cappellini selected warm and natural colors for materials and upholstery fabrics with only a feeble note of light tones on the details that make a convivial work environment and contemporary lounges. In fact, many of the Cappellini collection pieces feature a cross-cutting purpose designed to fit both domestic environments and public spaces. The waiting area is furnished with the brand-new seat system Telo Lounge by Sebastian Herkner, which recalls the camping seats of the Afrikaans lodges. All of this represents a perfect example of domestic architecture defined by sharp lines and great comfort, ideal even for bigger lounges. The new structure offers more flexibility and modularity in the compositions facilitating the accessorizes’ exchange. Many iconic pieces from the Cappellini collection were displayed around the whole booth, like the Gong and Bong tables, the Elan sofa and the new Drum armchair. At Orgatec 2016, Cappellini highlighted with its designs the will to be present as a strategic player on the contract market, with a particular attention to lounge areas and hospitality.
