Milan, September 16th 2015. Giulio Cappellini, architect and founder of the world famous design brand Cappellini, is among the winners of CHI E’ CHI AWARDS, as ambassador of excellence of the Italian Design. The award, organized in collaboration with Milan’s Town hall and with the media partnership of Condè Nast, took place on September 22 at Milan’s Palazzo Reale and inaugurated the Vogue Fashion's Night Out during the recent Fashion Week.
CHI E’ CHI AWARDS reached the 15th edition and is assigned to the Italian personalities that better represent the “Bel Paese” in the world in terms of fashion, design, sport, beauty, cinema, art, music, food and charity. The awards have been founded by Cristiana Schieppati and are given each year to significant members of the fashion, cultural and entrepreneurial Italian world.
That is why Giulio Cappellini, key figure of the International design scene is among the winners of this edition. His ongoing talent scounting approach helped the Brand Cappellini to become one of the most prestigious trend setting Company within the international design field, as wrote by “Time” Magazine. Curiosity, continuous desire of renewal and the personal reading of contemporary design’s needs represent the ingredients of his success. Jasper Morrison, Marc Newson, Marcel Wanders, the Bouroullec Brothers and Nendo are only some of his most famous "disciples." Among his last projects there is also the collaboration as Art Director with Milan’s Istituto Marangoni Design School.
