The Istituto Marangoni Design School has chosen Cappellini to furnish its campus, including classrooms, offices and lounge areas which are all dedicated to fashion courses for students from all over the world. Several locations are involved in this process which started in 2004 in Milan and successively in London, Paris, New York, Shanghai, Mumbai and Chongqing.
On Thursday January 23, the prestigious "Istituto Marangoni Design School," opened its doors in the heard to Milan at Via Cerva 24.,Originally built as a 2,500 square meter (8,200 square foot) home, it was subsequently converted into a bank. Divided over several floors the structure was fully designed and furnished under the art direction of Giulio Cappellini and is dedicated teaching students about furniture design. This important renovation project includes long-selling Italian furniture pieces and iconic products such as the Dalia armchair, the Revolving Cabinet, the Fronzoni ’64 and Big Break tables, the Lotus and Cap Chair armchairs and Tate color, Bac 2 and Stitch chairs and stools.
